In their notebook, the students documented their year-long journey through the engineering design process. Besides diligently noting each step, they also documented their day-to-day improvements in the notebook, including the common problems they encountered and solutions for these problems. The students also researched certain subjects and included them in scientific discussions to further their own understandings of the topics. Below is an excerpt from the award-winning notebook.
